I gave up development of the Cross-Linker plugin for WordPress as well as the Captcha Godfather plugin for WordPress because people are experiencing problems with compatibility. Well... I created these plugins, tested them, but I am not responsible for others' plugins nor for further development of WordPress. In fact, I hate WordPress and soon I will be upgrading this website and WordPress will be removed. Just one experience to show why I deeply hate WordPress: I've been commenting on blogs, but now I cannot. I cannot because about 50% of blogs return blank screen after submitting a comment. I don't know who fucked things up, but I know that without WordPress the world would be a better place. WordPress gave plenty of people a chance to blog. WordPress is also used for spamming purposes, is spammed and doesn't bring any additional value to the world. Plenty of crap blogs, unbelievable stories about how easy it's to make money blogging and such bullshits... WordPress is crap and am not going to use it any longer. It's the same story like with Windows OS. I had to remove it from my computer because it was fucking things as much as possible. I am a happy user of Linux for years now; No more Windows, no more WordPress. Consider quitting WordPress too. I am a coder so it's fucking easy for me to develop a core of my own blog, but even a "me not coder" can create some simple website which will replace WordPress shit. Oh, by the way... WordPress is very bad in terms of SEO. If you decide to donate, you're just saying thanks. All about donations and such things will be removed or modified as soon as I find some time to make some peace from the garbage left by WordPress.

Currently I am writing for blog at web-developers.net where I explain more about SEO, internet business, links and so on. Read why I am writing there. If you are using the Cross-Linker plugin for WordPress and if you want me to solve anything, then consider making a donation ($122 received until now; updated manually):

Gelfireplaces.co.uk: Ventless fireplaces

Published: 12/22/2006. Please, bear in mind that this article is not advertising of the web site mentioned below and it’s goal is informational only.

This overview is focused on gelfireplaces.co.uk. Even if it is relatively new site for us as visitors, this domain was registered on 30/January/2003, which is several years ago. Let’s start with a short overview before I tell what should be done in order to get visitors and top rankings. The site sells ventless fireplaces worldwide, especially focusing on the USA market. Personally, I like this kind of store, since it is selling products on demand, so there is no shopping basket and you must call and/or email them. Let me explain why I like it:

  • 1) Unlike shopping carts, there is a direct business-to-customer contact,
  • 2) You can ask them anything by phone, so if you’re not sure about anything, you simply ask and they answer,
  • 3) You’re sure that Gel Fireplaces Ltd. exists.

What gelfireplaces.co.uk offers? Fireplaces (including ventless ones), bowls, gel accessories, burners, flames. Usually, you’re able to see some promo video, you’re able to list their products, you’re able to contact them no matter where you come from and what’s the most important you’re always sure about where you are (it is no „affiliate“ site / e-shop).

OK, but we’re not here to advertise anyone’s services, so let’s quickly go through the suggestions, comparisons and overview. At first, site needs quality links. In my opinion, 50-100 incoming links could be good. Where the links should come from? Free directories, paid links or? Naturally, free directories are the best way how to get links, however this is not the most valuable way. At first, it should start with „friends“ links, so people who know Gel Fireplaces Ltd. could link to them. That’s also why this article is written. After natural link campaign, it is always recommended to submit a site into DMOZ (since DMOZ’s problems seem to be solved soon) and other quality directories. Naturally, free directories are still worth it even if it might look like aggressive campaign. Any SEO must always ask himself: „Am I working for a quality site?“. If the answer is „Yes“, then man shouldn’t worry about anything, since the site does what it claims.

If you take a look on the on-site SEO, you will find that this work is done very naturally and wisely. Of course, we could find something what may be improved, however I like natural SEO.

And the keywords/phrases? In my opinion, gel / ventless fireplaces / burners / baskets should be enough. Once these keywords obtain good rankings, the site should focus on other ones. I will keep monitoring it’s rankings and will publish the result sometimes in the future. I will also enclose other charts too.
